sleeveface and hercules and love affair

Ah Fridays. You’ve got to love them.

At BBH, we’ve got something called Summer Fridays. Basically, we can leave the agency at 4. I tried last week, went to the pub at 4, and was completely wasted by 8. Not so good.

Anyway, as said earlier, working on a pitch at the moment and struggling for time.

But, there is always my friend Ronojoy, who, apart from enduring my company and body odor for 8 hours a day, always got a little something to share.

Today’s silly thing is sleeveface:

One or more persons obscuring or augmenting any part of their body or bodies with record sleeve(s) causing an illusion

Does what it says on the tin. But does it really well.

Go on and waste some time there. You know you want to.

On another note (no pun intended) – I’m so not funny – I’m obsessed witht this song (not the video).

Have a good weekend all.

have you seen the new Smooth FM ads that have basically ripped this off totally? I say “ripped off”, i meant “inspired by” as a hell of alot of other campaigns are in the same way…

No I hadn’t…. Thanks for that. Its a bit painful to watch really. Doesn’t work in this format I think. I don’t mind the fact that they’ve nicked the idea from the site, as it’s a very good one, but they’ve managed to make it a lot worse than the original!

If you shall nick something from the web, at least make it better…

leave at 4 wasted by 8. so true.

saw sleeve face the other day and a post about what gen says on neil perkins blog.

inspired is good. because you add thought and value to an idea or a part of it.. you change it, you flip it over. but copying is just lazy. and lazy is disgusting.

and then you wonder why so many people think advertising is perverse. it´s because of lazy people.
