Audi R8 – Know your enemy

Great ad for Audi in the US.

Again, a simple process. They have identified a clear enemy: ‘old luxury’ (read Mercedes, Jaguar, Rolls…). And are giving them a kicking. And how to best do than by referencing this unforgettable scene in Godfather…

And they are using interesting values that I was talking about in join the dark side: aggressivity, cheekiness, almost violence, to great results.

It’s so clever and fun and the execution so perfect I expect this ad to win big at Cannes next year.
