The Esp game.
From Wikipedia: “The ESP Game is an experiment in human computation originally conceived by Luis von Ahn of Carnegie Mellon University. The idea behind the game is to use the computational power of humans to perform a task that computers cannot yet do (in this case, labeling images) by packaging the task as a game.”
It’s one very addictive game, that even serves a great purpose, tagging the million of pictures floating on the web.
Which reminds me of the old online pictionary Isketch.
In my knowledge, no brand has yet seized the potential of these type of online multi-players game. Although fairly simple in their concept, they are very popular (more than 1,000 people where playing Isketch when I just check it 5 minutes ago).
They could be easily pushed and be more developped shall a brand invest significantly in developping one. If playing them, like the ESP game, also serves a greater purpose, the brands can be sure to get some PR and blogging coverage.
